Mr. Farrant is a chartered accountant with 17 years of financial management experience, including 13 in the mining sector, primarily in gold. He also serves as a Director of Everton Resources Inc. and has served as Chief Financial Officer of junior development stage and producing mining companies. During his six years with Barrick Gold Corporation and three years with Kinross Gold Corporation, he held progressively senior finance positions, including Vice President and Treasurer with Kirnoss. Mr. Farrant holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Queen's University and earned his C.A. designation in 1995 with Coopers & Lybrand

Sierra Minerals Inc. ("Sierra" or the "Company") is a profitable gold producer focused on acquiring and developing advanced stage gold deposits that have the likelihood of realizing near-term production.
The Company operates the 100% owned Cerro Colorado Gold Mine in Sonora, Mexico, located approximately 140 km south of the United States border. During 2008, the mine produced 19,669 ounces of gold. With additional equipment purchases completed in Q2 2009 and processing plant upgrades underway, Sierra is targeting production of approximately 25,000 ounces of gold in 2009. The Company's gold production is 100% unhedged.
